Name: Ilyrana Sevayni
Race: Wild Elven
Age:110
Eyes: blue-green
Hair: Dark Brown and just past shoulder length
Skin: light chestnut brown
Backstory:
Ilyrana was born the sixth child, fourth daughter to Rif'tole and Meilane Sevayni. She grew up even a bit more 'wild' than others in her tribe. She often wandered off, often preferring the comfort and conversations she could have with animals and plants than her own people. Word was for a while, that she didn't have the ability to interact with her peers, which simply wasn't so. She was a skilled survivalist, learning quickly to hunt and forage. The girl was well spoken when it came time for her to speak, thanks in no small part to many hours with her mother and at times the head chieftan's daughter working to tutor her. She is intelligent perhaps beyond her years, but is careful to apply it only when it is needed.
Ilyrana, from a young age took towards the magical arts. It was rare, but Ilyrana had a certain connection that earned her respect from peers and even some elders, something that might have otherwise been incredibly difficult. Studying and honing this skill also helped her social skills.
Two birds, one stone.
As she grew, slowly she became someone the chieftan, a powerful woman amongst the wild elves, came to trust and apprieciate. Ilyrana was loyal to her and the tribe, and her daughter Tig was one of Ilyrana's only friends. Amalie helped the young sorceress with her studies a bit, though their magic differed.
Recently, the tribe had been given a message from the Dark Elves when a trader had come through their area. It was a request to send a representative to a summit. A New Nation was the reason which was given, and Amalie was doubtful, but curious enough to send herself as a representative. Tig was left in charge in Amalie's absence, and after a bit of discussion, Ilyrana was chosen as her second to go to this meeting of elves.
Just before they left, Tig presented Ily with a gift. Much to the sorceress' surprise, it turned out to be two exquisitely carved bone daggers in a leather sheath belt. Apparently, her friend didn't think a sling shot and her old carved wood staff were all she would need on this trip. With a shrug and an embrace, Ilyrana thanked her and strapped them on before departing.
The young elf was hesitant, but as she tended to treat other races with aloofness and cool politeness rather than open hostility and distrust as even many of her home tribe did, she was a natural choice. This mission would take her miles out of her comfort zone though, but Ilyrana felt herself able to adapt and capable. She knew how important this might be if what the Drow meant to start was true. That had to be worth it.
