Kal'esril is the youngest son of the House Melarn, one of the leading houses of the arising Drow Nation of Cormanthor. While his older brother became the Weapon Master of the house the younger Kal went on to apprentice under the War Leader of the Nation, Ryld Argith, and served in the informal military that has arisen in the Nation's defense. He is immensely loyal to his Goddess, House, and Nation (in that order), happily stepping forward to represent all three when asked to do so in this new endeavor.
At 6ft even Kal'esril towers over his fellow Drow, particularly the other males, and is both stronger and faster than his peers. Otherwise he exhibits all the features of a classic member of his Race, including a killer instinct that would make even the most evil of his cousins proud. Trained by a former Master of Melee Magthere itself (the Warrior College of Menzoberenzan), he is one of the most effective weapons the new Drow Nation could provide its social experiment.
While fully capable of the two sword style favored by many Drow warriors, Kal'esril is a fully trained practitioner of the Courtblade and heavily favors the large elven blade over the twin Lightblades he carries as well. His arsenal is filled out with the requisite Hand Crossbow almost all Drow carry and a set of throwing needles he often keeps dipped in Drow Knockout Poison. Though when young he favored leather armor he has since been presented with a suit of black Elven Chain in preparation for his next mission. As a ranger he has recently acquired a Cooshee, or Elven Hound, that was liberated as a pup from a baggage train carrying the worldly possessions of a Gold Elf noble.
